The Hindu Career Counselling Fair to guide students in Coimbatore

The Hindu Career Counselling Fair 2025 (THCFC), a two-day event to be held on May 7 and 8 in Coimbatore city is designed to provide high school students with expert guidance on academic and career paths.

Targeting students from Classes 9 to 12, the fair will feature sessions, panel discussions, and career counselling by industry professionals.

The event will take place at the Vivanta by Taj, Coimbatore, from 10 a.m. on both the days.

The fair will be inaugurated by R. Sundar, Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, and the guest of honour will be Anusha Ravi, CEO of Park Institutions.

The first day will open with a session on “Opportunities Available for Today’s Youth” by Dr. Manimekalai Mohan, Founder and Managing Trustee, SSVM Group of Institutions.

It will be followed by a tech-forward panel on “Engineering Your Future”, featuring Dr. Anusha Ravi, CEO of Park Institutions, Dr. A. Soundarrajan, Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, and moderated by Saravana Kumar R, former Chairman of the Computer Society of India (Coimbatore) and former Director at Cognizant.

The spotlight will then shift to medicine with “Prescribing Your Future”, showcasing insights from medical leaders like Dr. P. Praveen Raj, JMD & CEO of GEM Hospitals, and Dr. J. S. Bhuvaneswaran, Director of PSG Super Specialty Hospitals.

The day will conclude with a cutting-edge session on Artificial Intelligence, led by Sai Sundarakrishna, Chief Innovation Officer at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

The second day will open with “Design Your Destiny”, exploring high-growth, unconventional careers across arts, science, and commerce. The speakers include Dr. B. L. Shivakumar, Principal of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science, Dr. Kanagaraj, Free Civil Services Coach, and Ms. Ambika Seetharaman from the Help the Blind Foundation, along with Survajith S. Krishnan, Chartered Accountant and Vice-Chairman – ICAI Coimbatore.

This will be followed by a powerful talk on “Unlocking Career Success through Communication” by Saravana Kumar R, and a guidance session on choosing the right career path by renowned career consultant Jayaprakash Gandhi.

The event will conclude with a session on TNEA Counseling by T. Purushothaman, Secretary of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, helping students make informed decisions for engineering college applications.
